Job Description
As a Chef de Partie, you work under the direction of the Executive Sous Chef, prepare food in accordance with InterContinental Hotels and resorts policies and procedures and local hotel standards, assist in the smooth running of the hotel's kitchen operations by preparing and presenting food to a high standard and maintaining hygiene practices. You will follow brand standard food specifications with a high level of performance, presentation, service delivery and ensure minimum food wastage in the kitchen.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supervise the work of Demi de partie chefs and Commis chefs.
- Participates in menu planning in consultation with the Executive Chef/Executive sous chef
- Preparation, presentation, decoration and menu dishes appropriate to the hotel menu, location and guest mix

Qualifications:
- Culinary art degree or its equivalent
- Extensive international experience in branded 5 star hotel or large restaurants with good standards
- Good understanding of the Hotel Industry standards, policies and procedures
- Experience in high-end city operation with multi unit F&B and large Conference & Event
- Pre opening experience a strong plus
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal, listening, writing)
- Eager to learn & progress, responsible with the willingness to take ownership
- Creative and open minded
- Good understanding of the Nigerian/African business and operation environments and markets
- Service minded and ability to involve and support operations
- Business savvy and good people skills
